Tijuana River Sewage Flow Mitigation Project

A bilateral agreement between the United States and Mexico to stop the flow of sewage from Tijuana into Southern California through the Tijuana River. The project involves Mexico spending $93 million on water infrastructure projects, including diverting 10 million gallons per day of treated sewage from two wastewater treatment plants to sites further upstream and rehabilitating a wastewater collection site.
