Description

The project will rehabilitate and improve accessibility of the Community Centre in Tillsonburg, Ontario. The work will involve: • Rehabilitating the pool area tile floors, deck and liner, main south entrance, pool roof, pool mechanicals, lighting, health club and sauna; • Expansions to add barrier-free family and gender-neutral pool change rooms, barrier-free rink bench access, support for ice operations and improved aquatics administration space; • Installing a new ramp entry into the pool and additional cogeneration heat recovery system; and • Construction of a new 3,600 sq. ft. outdoor splash pad. The project will result in improved access and increased quality of community, cultural and recreational infrastructure by providing a modern pool and amenities that will meet community demand and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards.
