We apply for co-development funding for the project TIME OF THE MONSTERS together with our French partner Kazak Productions. The film will be a three country coproduction between Germany, France and Switzerland. Objectives: develop the project in terms of script, casting, locations, coproduction, budget, financing, news coverage, marketing, deep research with the help of experts and on location Activities: research trip with a bigger team (writer, director, cinematographer, production design, costume design, producer) to the shooting location (presumably Ghana), research work with experts (historians, architects, artists, filmmakers, sociologists, etc.), casting in Germany and France (and possibly Switzerland), final budgeting and financing, project presentations on markets, media cooperations for marketing, creating artwork/key visuals for the project Persons benefiting from the project: As this is a three country co-production the beneficiaries are the producers and their staff, but also casting agents, set designer, cinematographer, costume designer who are all able to do early research, as well as graphic designers and the sales company who benefit from better presentations and a better package. Expected results: the project should be so developed that we can go from development into pre-production within the planned time frame. We have a developed script that is close to a shooting script, have confirmed cast, a realistic budget and financing plan, distributors fixed and know exactly where to shoot and how Outputs to be produced: different drafts of the script, budgets and shooting schedules, construction plan of the main location, co-production agreements in place, cast list, news coverage, artwork
