The partnership agreement was announced on June 18, 2024. ST Dynamo DC, currently a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nxera MY, will serve as the joint venture company. According to the terms of the JVA, TM DC Educity will hold a 51% stake in ST Dynamo DC, while Nxera MY will hold the remaining 49%. The start of construction activities was officially marked on July 25th, 2024. Planned with a total capacity of 64 MW, the cloud-enabled Tier 3 data centre campus will use liquid cooling to handle higher power density AI workloads. The facility will be designed, built and certified to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards, incorporating energy and water-efficient solutions to optimise the use of resources. To support the new data centre campus, the joint venture plans to expand submarine cable connectivity. The facility is scheduled to begin commercial operations in 2026, with a potential expansion to a capacity of up to 200 MW.
