Description | The objectives of the Second Municipal Development Project are to: (i) enhance infrastructure and services in Tunisian local governments (LGs); and (ii) increase efficiency of public sector management at the local level. The project consists of the following components: 1) municipal infrastructure; 2) training, technical assistance, and equipment to strengthen the management of the municipal development agency Caisse des Prets et de Soutien des Collectivites Locales (CPSCL); 3) technical assistance and equipment to improve management of LGs, General Directorate for public and local governments (DGCPL) and General Directorate for Regional Affairs (DGAR); 4) the training center program for local governments; and 5) community participation. |
