The Tunisia Oases Ecosystems and Livelihood Project objective is to improve sustainable natural resources management and promote livelihoods diversification in selected oases. In order to achieve its objectives, the project will focus on three main fields of intervention: (i) help create an enabling environment to better manage oases at national level; (ii) support the implementation of the strategy on a small scale (six selected oasis which are representative of the variety of Tunisian traditional oases); and (iii) provide support to the implementation of the activities and their monitoring and evaluation. Therefore, in line with this approach, are the following components. The First component is strengthening capacities for sustainable management of oasis ecosystems. The second component is supporting the implementation of the Oasis Participatory Development Plan. The third is project coordination and management.
