LLC ZapSibNeftekhim, a subsidiary of Sibur, is the investor and contractor for the construction of the airport, which has a total value of the project is RUB8.8 billion (USD133.8 million). In January 2019, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev allocated land for the future airport by his order, and the government of the Tyumen region confirmed its intention to send funds to repair the road to the site.
