Description | Tomsk Cellular Communication (TCC) was established in 1998 by Tomsktelecom Nikola Tesla daughter company of Tomsktelecom (now a branch of SibirTelecom) to provide GSM-900/1800 standard mobile services in the Tomsk region. The network was launched in September 1999. The company signed a supply contract with Ericsson for the installation of a 3,000-line network. In 2002 TCC received an additional GSM-1800 license for the city of Tomsk.. Starting from 2002 100% of TCC were owned to company’s management and local entrepreneurs. In September 2003, Mobile TeleSystems acquired a 100% stake in TCC for US$47 million. 100% owned by Mobile Telesystems.
