Description

Description

The project comprises the construction of an energy base of wind and solar PV power of 3500MW (1200MW of wind power and 2300MW of photovoltaic power), and the total planned sand control area is 516,000 mu. The first phase of the project is located in Zhalute Banner and Kezuozhong Banner, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia, China, with a new energy construction scale of 1100MW, including 400MW of wind power and 700MW of photovoltaic power, 164,000 mu of sand control and sand control, and supporting construction of 165MW/330MWh of energy storage. The sponsor is State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC), making a total planned investment of $641.8m (4.5 billion yuan). Construction started on September 26, 2024. After the grid-connected power generation is realized in 2025, the annual green electricity can be increased by about 2.4 billion kilowatt-hours, saving about 720,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon emissions by about 2 million tons, with obvious ecological and green economic and social benefits. https://wind.imarine.cn/news/101592.html
