Tonglu County Solid Waste Incineration Power Plant

In Apr 2012, a local private company Anhui Shengyun Machinery Company Limited was granted a concession agreement to rehabilitate and operate a household solid waste incineration power plant in Tonglu County, Anhui Province. Shengyun paid US$ 16.16 million (RMB 102.0352 million) to get the already installed garbage processing facility of the plant and would invest more money to equip the facility electricity generation capacity of 9MW. The total investment was about US$ 31.68 million (RMB 200 million). A special purpose vehicle Tonglu Shengyun Environmental Protection and Energy Company Limited was set up to implement the project, with a registration capital of US$ 7.92 million (RMB 50 million). The concessional term was from Jan 1, 2012 through to Dec 31, 2038, covering the construction period. Shengyun had a 100% stake in the entire project.
