Tooele Valley Project Area Data Center Campus

A massive new industrial development called the Tooele Valley Project Area is planned, including a data center campus so large it will require its own power plant. The project includes building roads, water tanks, a wastewater treatment plant, pump houses, and flood control infrastructure, supported by incentives and financing from the Utah Inland Port Authority. The data campus will cover 200 acres and will not use traditional evaporative cooling, aiming to use no more water than any other large building. At full build, it will use at least 500 megawatts of power, about an eighth of Utah's total current energy consumption, and will build its own power plant fueled by natural gas generators due to insufficient power supply from the main utility.
