Information East Central Railway [ECR] - I has come up with Tori-Shivpur 1st line, 2nd line and 3rd line. [1st line and 2nd line work completed] with a ticket size of 3322.47 INR Crores. This project in Railway Track sub-sector involves The current status of the project is - and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project Tori-Shivpur Third Line Project is package I of the overall Tori-Shivpur-Kathautia line which will enhance coal evacuation in the region especially from green field area of North Karanpura Coalfield of CCL in the State of Jharkhand. The line is likely to provide coal evacuation capacity of about 125 MT by rail and play major role in eliminating coal transportation by road. This 45 km line will facilitate evacuation from the vast Magadh and Amrapali reserves. Construction work is being funded by CCL on Deposit basis. Double line has been commissioned. Tripling shall enhance coal evacuation capacity of the railway line. DPR has been completed and is under construction by EC Railway. Development and production from Magadh and Amrapali reserve mines were restricted for the last two decades, due to evacuation issues and the 90-km loop from Tori [near Ranchi] to Kathautia [near Hazaribagh], connecting the Hazaribagh-Kodarma line, was planned in 1998 to solve this problem.
