Toronto East Harbour Transit Hub

The East Harbour Transit Hub in Toronto is under major construction with concrete being poured for pile caps and grade beams for the main station building foundation. Preparations are underway to install girders for new rail tracks over Broadview Avenue, and excavation is complete with backfilling to improve ground stability. The hub will feature six tracks, passenger concourses, accessible pick-up/drop-off areas, island platforms, stairs and elevators, bike parking, and connections to the future Broadview Avenue extension. The project is a joint initiative of the Government of Canada, the Province of Ontario, and the City of Toronto, with construction awarded to a joint venture of AtkinsRéalis and Bird Construction, led by Hatch Ltd.
