Toronto Region Ravine Erosion Risk Management and Hazard Mitigation Project

The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority’s (TRCA’s) project focuses on reducing the impacts of erosive processes exacerbated by climate change in the ravine systems within TRCA’s jurisdiction. This project will address existing hazards for critical infrastructure previously identified, in addition to proactive works to mitigate hazards in areas with over 300 assets in the City of Toronto and Peel Region. This project will increase the community resilience during flooding events. The project will directly benefit 233,744 people across an area of approximately 0, 5 km2.
