"The Tors Local Service District (LSD)provides services to the community of Tors Cove. The LSD has limited resources which means the provision of any support programs and activities are done in conjunction with non for profit organizations/partners within the community. By far our biggest partner is the Tors Cove Hall Committee who owns and operates the only community center from Bay Bulls to Bauline South that can accommodate over 200 people simultaneously and can be provided at comparatively low rental rates. This center provides multiple services and is used by a number of not for profit organizations that have regular programs. This center provides its services and programs to an estimated 5000 residents of Tors Cove and surrounding Area. The Tors Cove Hall is an older building that would avail of this grant to improve efficiency. This which would lower its carbon output and lower the cost of operation, both of which would improve the effectiveness of services and activities"
