Description
Description | The Trump administration reached a nearly $1 billion agreement with TotalEnergies to end major offshore wind development plans along the eastern United States. TotalEnergies will surrender federal offshore leases off New York and North Carolina, originally acquired during the Biden administration, and redirect funds into U.S.-based fossil fuel projects including a liquefied natural gas export facility in Texas. The deal has faced criticism for dismantling renewable infrastructure and accelerating fossil fuel investment. |
