Tourism attraction development of the Route of Medieval Churches

This project is the continuation of a previous HURO project ÜRoute of Medieval Churches in Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg and Satu Mare Counties", attaching to that relevant attraction developments. Initiating a thematic tourism route is an innovative action, which can produce a line of church-museums. Historical restoration and tourism developments of monuments will be done in 11 reformed churches in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg and 7 in Satu Mare County. Besides this, further goal to reach is to improve the walking, cycling tourism in the spirit of religion and heritage tourism in line with the created tourism route. The renovation part of project, emphasis is put on promotion, with a total communications campaign. The general objective of the project is the region's economic performance, social cohesion, identity and the strengthening of the tourism opportunities based on common historical heritage Target groups: tourists; parishes, as operators of attractions related to tourism The main specific activities of the project are: 1. Investment activities: Hungary. Kölcse reformed church monumental reconstruction; Gacsály: building renovation; Vámosoroszi reformed church restoration of medieval surfaces; Kisszekeres: reformed church monumental reconstruction and environmental planning; Túrricse: reformed church monumental reconstruction: preparation of the work of the execution of the renovation of the church bell tower. Romania. Bere: renovation of the church, the building is in poor condition; Krasznacégény: the rehabilitation of vulnerable building and the adjacent bell tower; Akos: works on the three-nave Romanesque basilica plot one of the 19th century granary built a good opportunity to create a tourist information point, while maintaining the agricultural heritages. 2.
