Description | The proposed project, which will assist the Government in reversing the deterioration in tourist facilities and services, would consist of the following components: (i) works and equipment required to bring TTC hotels and lodges to appropriate operating standards; (ii) technical assistance to TTC in the field of hotel maintenance, marketing, hotel supplies, hotel communications and project administration; (iii) preparation of promotional materials and marketing campaigns aimed at the tourist travel trade; (iv) construction, furnishing and equipping, and technical assistance for a new Hotel and Tourism Training Institute (HTTI) in Dar es Salaam; (v) equipment for improving the effectiveness of the Government's antipoaching efforts; and (vi) improvements to the terminal building of the Dar es Salaam Airport. |
