Description

Description

Rationale of the Project The current project aims to bridge the results of the previous work of EOPPEP, as the Greek EQAVET NRP, with the recent reforms in VET and the labour market, partially imposed by the consequences of the pandemic and the global alterations to the world of work. Within this context, EOPPEP as the Greek EQAVET NRP during 2019-2021 has delivered concrete results, in the field of tracking IVET graduates’ paths towards labour market and has also captured the employers’ perceptions on the efficiency, potential skills mismatches and overall competence of IVET graduates. Nevertheless, the new post-pandemic era calls for further action, in order to re-establish VET as a sound and solid alternative choice, with a significant impact on labour market. Towards this direction, a substantial legal reform took place recently in Greece, aiming explicitly to foster VET and introduce new and innovative paths, both for excellence and for employability. For the first time, since its establishment in 1992, IVET becomes part of the “typical” education system. Project Aims Building upon the current changes and also upon the results of its previous activities, EOPPEP pursuits to step forward in two main and complementary Project Objectives: P.O 1. Develop a QA Methodology in IVET Programs and conduct a pilot Research on indicative new/innovative IVET Programs. The research will concern the implementation of the QA Methodology in indicative new/innovative IVET Programs, which are designed according to the provisions of the recent VET reform (law 4763/2020) and are directed towards the acquisition of skills and competences for a greener and digital economy, in crucial sectors for Greece (such as green agriculture, tourism). P.O.2. Utilize the Peer Review Process, in order to provide feedback and finalize the proposed QA Methodology on IVET Programs, hence reflect on existing QA regulations and deliver a Peer Review Outcomes Report and an Ex Post Follow up Report.
