Description

Description

The Water Security Agency (WSA) flagged the current lagoon in the Town of Alameda to be over-capacity for treatment parameters and near/at allowable storage capacity for our current population. The main objective of the project is to upgrade the lagoon in the Town of Alameda by modifying the existing primary and secondary cells to increase its capacity and support future growth. The upgrades bring the Town of Alameda wastewater lagoon system in compliance with WSA and provincial regulations, using a projected population of approximately 500 people by the year 2040. The project also includes upgrades to the Town of Alameda’s lift station to allow the upgraded lagoon to function at its designed capacity and reduce the risk of failure of the lift station. The project will result in increased capacity to treat and/or manage wastewater and/or stormwater.
