Town of Amherst - LaPlanche River Lift Station Upgrades

The project consists of upgrades to the Town of Amherst’s wastewater system.. The scope of the work involves the involves installation of a sewage grinder within the lift station. The project aims to improve the operation of the lift station and the wastewater system as a whole. Installation of a sewage grinder within the lift station to reduce solids prior to pumping to the force main and ultimately to the waste water treatment facility. The grinder will reduce clogging of the sewage pumps which reduces the need for pump maintenance and sewage bypass into the adjacent river. This will ultimately help the Town meet the sewage effluent guidelines.
