Description | The Town of Big River - Rink and Community Centre Revitalization project will revitalize the aging community centre. The Big River Arena was built in 1982. It is the community hub for the small town. The project works include: - upgrades to one ice arena and one curling rink; - upgrades for accessibility and no-slip flooring; - upgrades to the lighting, boilers, canteen, eavestroughs, dressing rooms, doors, ice plant, and plumbing; and, - renovations to extend the life of the building. These upgrades will also substantially reduce energy and power costs. |
