Town of Central Butte Water Treatment Plant Upgrade Project

The main objectives of the project is to meet or exceed provincial regulatory drinking water quality standards. Project scope includes increasing raw water supply capacity, distribution pumping capacity and to maintain disinfectant residual in the distribution system. The main components of the project includes addition of a ultraviolet (UV) radiation system in the existing water treatment plant building. The UV system will be sized to treat the projected 20-year maximum day demand of 8.7 L/s. Addition of a new distribution pump with a minimum capacity of 4.4 L/s. A new raw water well with a minimum capacity of 4.6 L/s.
