Description | The Project aims at upgrading the existing water, sewer and storm distribution systems for the First, Second and Third Street. The existing underground system is composed of aged asbestos pipes and will be replaced. This will improve reliability and reduce any health risks to residents associated with the asbestos piping. The project includes replacement of approximately 1.5km of sanitary and storm collection piping as well as 1.5km of water distribution lines. This project will also help to provide reliable fire services to these areas of the town and will also enhance sustainability through reduced operations and maintenance costs. |
