Town of Grenfell - Grenfell Secondary Lagoon Upgrade

The objective of the project is the secondary lagoon system has reached capacity and a new 38,000 cubic meter secondary lagoon cell is required to meet the growth rate needs of the community, as well as to accommodate the additional waste from the proposed Canada Gold Fortune Potash Corporation project which will occur 12 km south of the Town. The main component of the project includes an additional 38,000 cubic meters of waste storage properly lined cell with associated piping and valves to ensure the design meets the Water Security Agency’s requirements and provides the treated effluent with acceptable quality before discharging to the receiving environment. The Project will result in the increased capacity to treat and/or manage wastewater.
