Description

Description

Kiaskus Trail Paving Project involves paving the 2.1 kilometer of the outdoor walking and biking trail in Gull Lake. These portions of the trail are unsafe for residents of Gull Lake to use, despite this Kiaskus Trail has been invaluable during COVID-19 as it is the only recreation facility in Gull Lake permitted to remain open as per public health order. Being an outdoor facility with no touchpoints and being wide enough to accommodate social distancing it has provided residents a place to spend time being active outside. Paving the grassy portions of Kiaskus Trail will transform the trail from a moderately-used path into a multi-use, multi-generational trail for a much larger population to enjoy. Additionally, the paved portions will be infinitely safer than the current grass as they will provide a smooth, flat area on which users will travel.
