Town of Imperial - Imperial Arena Upgrade

This project will be a retrofit to the community arena; cement will be poured in the arena area to turn the facility into a year round use facility. It would no longer just be a skating rink, it would be a large area allowing for social distance, for things like our scouts group to host events such as archery, cub car races, area to sort their bottle drives, this would also become an indoor walking area with stable, level ground for our seniors. It would also provide a much larger area for events like an emergency shelter area, funerals, weddings, or private events. If cement was installed we could form/maintain 1-2 inches of ice on an insulated cement floor, this would make our arena far more energy efficient. This project would stimulate jobs in the construction, gravel, excavating, engineering, as well as refrigeration industries. It would boost the local economy for jobs as well as long term it would create revenue from rent for facility use.
