Town of Indian Head - Detailed Design and Construction of Landfill Closure

The main objective of this project is to complete final closure and decommissioning of two waste cells located at the currently closed landfill site. The site is approximately 14 ha in size, 6.8 ha of which will be reclaimed. The project scope includes confirming waste delineation, completing detailed closure design, construction of cover system and surface water controls and construction verification. Following the project the northeast corner of the property will remain a transfer station as currently approved by the Ministry of Environment, the remainder of the site will be a naturally vegetated area with ongoing groundwater monitoring.
