The scope of work for the Project includes the rehabilitation of one water treatment facility, including filters, the pump station, extending the reservoir pipeline, and construction of additional reservoir storage. The Project will also replace and expand approximately 3,500 meters of transmission pipes, approximately 600 meters of local water pipes, and replace the valves in order to avoid water main breaks. The Project will upgrade the existing water treatment and distribution system to meet Canadian Drinking Water Quality standards. The Town of Ituna has confirmed that there have not been any long-term drinking water advisories, however in 2018, the Water Security Agency issued a precautionary boil water advisory. That advisory has since been lifted.
