Town of Kentville - Donald E. Hiltz Connector Road - Water, Storm & Sanitary Infrastructure

This project is to install linear infrastructure under the future Donald E. Hiltz Connector Road. It is located in a parcel of land owned by the Town of Kentville which once complete will connect the Kentville Business Park to Prospect Avenue, providing a much-needed alternate route for the Town and providing access to developable land on both sides of the corridor. The scope of this ICIP project is for Phase 1 of this overall project. Phase 1 is the construction of water distribution pipes, sanitary sewer collection pipes, and a stormwater management system in the Donald E. Hiltx Connector Road corridor. Also included in Phase 1 is the replacement of an end-of-life water tank and treatment plant with a modern water storage tank/plant at the same elevation as the current tank on Prospect Avenue greatly increasing the operational flexibility and reliability of service. Phase 1 of Donald E. Hiltz Connector Road - Water, Storm & Sanitary Infrastructure project will increase capacity to treat and manage wastewaster and stormwater and increase access to potable water.
