Description

Description

The Langenburg Parks & Trails Project will consist of designing, developing and constructing multi-use pathways (connected active transportation trails) to connect residents to various outdoor recreation and community spaces while also upgrading features within the existing park spaces to meet the trends and needs of users. By providing inexpensive and easily accessible opportunities the trail network will be able to connect residents to existing parks and community spaces. The 12 kilometer multi-use pathways will connect 6 parks including the visitors rest area all year round. The design will have 4-6 rest spots (or look outs) for people to take a break and contemplate allowing us to highlight the beautiful attributes of our land. Sections of the trail will be themed to include informational/educational spots such as history and heritage, fitness pods for exercise education, native plants and flora, animals and insects common in the area and with the creation of a partnership with school and outdoor education corridor for people to explore. It can be forecasted that approximately 300 people / week will use this trail.
