Description
Description | The main objective of this project is to replace the Town’s existing water storage tank with an equivalent storage tank that requires a minimal cost to the Town. The existing tank is aging having been constructed in approximately 1962, and showing signs of rust and deterioration which will contaminate the stored water which will pose a health risk to the community. In addition, rusted and broken stiffeners on the roof of the tank caused a hole to form when the stiffener was separated from the roof skin. It is very difficult to patch the holes and therefore, the Tower requires a replacement as soon as possible to prevent atmospheric contamination. The existing tank is located on a hill next to the water treatment plant which provides sufficient pressure to distribute potable water by gravity system to the Town. |
