Description

Description

Project consists of relining sewer mains and manholes to reduce contamination of the soil & ensure the infrastructure can sustain heavy rainfalls, mitigating the collapse of roads from caverns caused by erosion (washouts of non-existing sewer lines from wear and extreme water flow) from heavy water/wastewater flow. The last time the Town of Radville experienced heavy rainfall a sewer line needed to be replaced due to collapsing of the line and erosion of the soil under the ground. The Town of Radville needs to insert liners into approximately 2275 meters (7458 feet) of sewer mains and complete full rehabilitation of approximately 40 manholes throughout the community. Liners extend the life of the asset by 50 years. Placing liners in the sewer mains and manholes will ensure the integrity of the line and keep water and wastewater from escaping the designated path. Once the pipe is broke down or wore away from erosion, the water and waste water then begin eroding the dirt outside the lines.
