Town of Riverview - Storm Sewer Improvement

The project consist of upgrades to the storm system on various streets in the Town of Riverview. The widespread surcharge in the Berkley Drive tributary area that took place during an intense rainfall event on May 25th, 2016 requires multiple sections of storm sewer system upsizing on McAllister Road, Grindstone Drive, Keefe Court and Wallace Court to minimize flooding and property damage from future events. The scope of the project consists of upsizing 830 meters of storm water pipes as per recommendations identified in a recent study. This utility upgrade project includes the removal of the existing storm sewer and replacement with an upsized new storm sewer as well as restoration of the road infrastructure affected by the works. This project will benefit the community by increasing its capacity to manage stormwater.
