The project consists of: repairs on the pool deck, pool, and replacements of mechanical HVAC and electrical system as the existing systems are not operational or experiencing issues; and improved building accessibility. The repairs, retrofits and upgrades would enable the pool to be open year-round with access for seniors and disabled people for exercise. Insulation will be provided to upgrade the building’s resistance to the cold weather and underground drainage to direct water away from the building’s foundation. The proposed upgrades to the Aquatic center will benefit not just the Town of Rocanville, but also the surrounding communities. It will allow the Town to utilize the space for functions year round and which will help maintain staffing and generate revenue for the community.
