Description | The Town of Rockglen - Water and Wastewater Improvements project (the Project) includes the replacement of the 165 m of asbestos concrete water and sewer mains, hydrants, valves, manholes, and 14 services connections with curb stop up to the property line of individual homes on 1st St between 1st Ave and 2nd Ave, as well as other related works to be conducted as part of the project scope. The Project scope involves the rehabilitation on 1st Street South from 1st Ave, replacing 150 mm diameter watermain and 150 mm diameter sanitary sewer with 150 mm diameter PVC watermain and 200 mm sewer. A total of approximately 165 m of new water/sewer mains will be replaced. By replacing the water/sewer pipes, this street will be able to minimize the need for water interruptions and Precautionary Drinking Water Advisories. |
