Town of Rosthern - Water Supply and Treatment Plant Upgrades

The main objective of the project is to provide an adequate supply of potable drinking water to the users of the Town of Rosthern’s water utility and to be in compliance with provincial drinking water regulations. The project scope involves the following: 1. New construction of: 5 water wells and 1 new water control building, Approximately 5.3kms of 200mm raw water supply line, 1 water treatment plant including mechanical & electrical components, distributions pumps, a back-up generator and 2,100m3 of water reservoir storage, a new communication system to integrate a communication network between the wells and treatment plant to provide a direct link between the two systems 2.Upgrading the existing 2 well control buildings. 3. Demolition of the existing water treatement plant building, reservoir chambers and sedimentation basin. And all associated works. Upon completion of the project, there will be adequate potable water supply for current needs and infrastructure that can accommodate growth.
