Covid-19 Response Infrastructure Upgrades to the Skating Arena Mezzanine in the existing Spiritwood Recreation Facility. The stairs leading to the skating arena mezzanine and the mezzanine itself need upgrades done as this area wasn’t fully completed for use of the public when the building was constructed. The upgrades include finishing of the walls (insulation/drywall, paint, etc), spectator area (raised floor for seating), and concession area (cupboards/storage, electrical) of the mezzanine and finishing of the stairs (fire exit area) leading up to the mezzanine. This will allow for designated/fixed and social distancing seating for approx. 40 people total. The upgrades will allow for additional space within the recreation facility for the public to use which will support physical distancing, enhance economic recovery and provide social benefits. The upgrades will provide measures to assist protecting public health of Town of Spiritwood residents and recreation staff during the Covid-19 pandemic.
