Town of Watson - Arena Renovations

Project will upgrade the town’s existing arena. Several areas have been identified that require upgrades, both structurally and due to COVID-19. • Upgrade and repair the arena roof, which is leaking; • Replacement of several emergency exit doors; • Add exterior exit to Zamboni room, and renovate the space to accommodate a larger vehicle. The direct exit to the exterior will improve accessibility for the equipment, and in an emergency (e.g. equipment fire) provide exterior access; and • Procurement of improved sanitization equipment (fogger and floor cleaner) in order to be able to safely re-open and operate the arena. This equipment will protect both the staff and the public by providing infection control, allowing arena staff to properly disinfect the facility and follow COVID-19 protocols, minimizing the risk of infection.
