Toyota Hydrogen Fuel Cell Truck Fleet Deployment in Europe

under operation

Toyota Motor Europe has deployed a fleet of hydrogen fuel cell trucks for parts logistics across Europe. The trucks operate on key routes from Toyota's central hub in Diest, Belgium, to distribution centers in France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK. This initiative aims to demonstrate zero-emission logistics using Toyota's third-generation fuel cell technology, supported by partners including VDL Groep and logistics companies such as Vos Transport Group, CEVA Logistics, Groupe CAT, and Yusen Logistics. The project aligns with the EU's Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Regulation and includes building hydrogen refueling stations along major freight routes.
