 Established in Nigeria in 2016, TradeDepot Inc. (“TradeDepot” or  “the Company”) is a retail distribution platform that aggregates traditional/informal retailers and connects them directly to a distribution supply base with a focus on the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector (https://www.tradedepot.co/). The company manages the distribution from its existing 800 square meters warehouse in Oregun in Lagos, Nigeria, in addition to leased space in other warehouses which are managed by third party companies. In addition, deliveries are executed through a fleet of approximately 265 vehicles, which are leased by the company from independent fleet owners. The proposed investment is an equity investment of US$10 million in TradeDepot (the “Project”). IFC has previous exposure to TradeDepot since 2017 through IFC investee fund Partech Africa (https://disclosures.ifc.org/project-detail/SII/39954/partech-africa), which is an Africa-focused fund.
