Traditional sports that have a long history and a certain symbolism attached to them such as archery, pétanque, futnet and turca used to be largely popular among the local population of the partner countries. Nowadays the young generations are not practicing them as they used to do in the past. The benefits of these traditional sports and games are little known by the young people, as they have the tendency to dismiss the sports that have attached to them the label of traditional or old. The traditional games are little known, often even by the people of that country, given that theyare not mass sports and do not enjoy a very widespread. The general goal of our project is to increase the interest of the young people from HU, RO, CZ and FR to practice four traditional sports (archery, turca, futnet, pétanque) as means for health-enhancing physical activity. Objectives 1. Increase capacity of the four partner organisations from HU, RO, CZ and FR to empower young people to become facilitators of popularising the four TSGs (archery, turca, futnet, pétanque) among their peers and friends. 2. Raise awareness among young people on the benefits for health enhancement and of the cultural heritage of archery, turca, futnet, pétanque in the four countries of the partner org. 3. Building capacity to collaborate at the transnational level of the four partner organisations in the field of traditional sports and health enhancing physical activity. Target groups will find out about four TSGs and will have the chance to try them out during workshops. They will become more aware of their benefits and might become convinced to use TSGs as means to health enhancing physical activity. By popularizing archery, petanque, futnet and turca through the Volunteering Team formed by young people, target groups will become more curious and interested to find out about these sports.
