The Training and Employment Support Project (TEP) is a pilot project intended to introduce an efficient and effective linkage between public expenditures for short-term training, and the business community skill requirements. The project components include: (a) a pilot training fund to provide funds for in-service training of short duration (up to six months) and related support services such as occupational needs analysis and employment intermediation; (b) monitoring, studies, and evaluation to fund survey and studies to evaluate the wage and employment impact of the type of training support provided by the project in comparison to existing training programs; and (c) a project implementation unit to be responsible for overall coordination/management of the activities of the project.
