Description
Description | The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is soliciting applications from eligible applicants for projects in three National Priority Areas. The first National Priority Area is to provide training and technical assistance to small public water systems so that they can operate and maintain their systems to achieve and maintain compliance with the SDWA. The second National Priority Area is to provide training and technical assistance to small public water systems to build their financial and managerial capacity to provide safe drinking water over the long-term. For the third National Priority Area, EPA is soliciting applications to provide training and technical assistance to small publicly-owned wastewater systems, communities served by onsite/decentralized wastewater systems, and private well owners to help improve water quality. While EPA expects to make awards in all areas, there is no guarantee that awards will be made in all areas. Although cost-sharing/matching is not required as a condition of eligibility under this competition, under Section V of this announcement EPA will evaluate proposals based on a voluntary cost-share/match criterion. |
