Description

Description

The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan invites all eligible organizations (see Section IV for Eligibility Requirements) to submit a proposal for a program to train Afghan women in public speaking and effective communications skills. The target audience for this training is women in universities and/or other educational institutes in the following cities in Afghanistan: Gardiz, Ghazni, Herat, Jalalabad, Kabul, Kandahar, Khost, Kunduz, Mazar-i-Sharif. Please note that training space in those cities can be provided at no cost. Applicants may propose to offer instruction in Dari, Pashto, or English, depending on the students’ needs. The training program will develop the ability of Afghan women to prepare, structure, and deliver well-tailored speeches that will serve them in a variety of situations. The program strategy should consist of practical exercises and simulations as well as theoretical input so that women will be equipped with a set of tools to enhance their speech preparation and delivery.
