Description
Description | The TRADICIL project is the result of a thorough analysis of lawyers’ current training needs in EU law, undertaken by two pan-European lawyers’ organisations (ELF and CCBE) and Bars from 10 EU Member States. The training needs identified fully align with some of the priorities of the Justice Programme’s 2024 call for proposals to support transnational projects on training of justice professionals, namely with the priorities on digitalisation of justice and on EU civil law. Based on these needs, TRADICIL has the following objectives: (a) to train at least 500 lawyers from 26 EU Member States in various topics related to the digitalisation of justice in the EU, through the organisation of two big hybrid events (with participants both attending in-person in Brussels and online); (b) to train and facilitate networking for 316 lawyers from 10 Member States on EU instruments in civil law (in family law and in successions law), through the holding of 10 in-person seminars; (c) to make available the material produced in the framework of all the training activities for free consultation and download; (d) to undertake communication activities to reach the largest possible group of potential participants in the various project training activities and to keep EU Bars and lawyers informed about the project’s state of play; and (e) to contribute to the EU’s objective of continuing training on EU law reaching 15% of lawyers in the EU by 2024. The main target group of the project will be lawyers (at least 816). The main result of the project will be increased knowledge in key areas of EU law (EU digitalisation of justice and EU civil law) for EU lawyers, who will be able to give better advice to European citizens and businesses; a further lasting result will be the production of training material. |
