Description
Description | TRALIM 3 is a project presented by a consortium led by the European Lawyers Foundation in partnership with Bar Associations from 7 EU Member States. The project aims to train 716 lawyers on EU asylum and immigration law through various training activities. It is based on the previous EU funded projects, TRALIM and TRALIM 2, on the basis of those provisions of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights which are applicable to asylum seekers and immigrants in the EU. TRALIM 3 proposes an innovative structure in which separate activities target lawyers with different levels of knowledge on EU asylum and immigration law - so that just one project offers training for lawyers with different needs. In order to achieve its results, TRALIM 3 will implement the following activities: 1) cross-border seminars (i.e. with the participation of lawyers from 7 Member States in all events) on the EU law relation to asylum on immigration (TRALIM seminars) and on vulnerable groups of migrants (children on the move, women and disabled people), 2) joint short visits (i.e. with the participation of lawyers from 7 Member States in all events) to 6 Member States to meet with relevant actors working on asylum and immigration (lawyers, judicial authorities, law enforcement, etc) plus a short visit to EASO offices in Malta and 3) production of a manual on best practices in the 7 EU jurisdictions, so the manual can be used by other lawyers and legal professionals working on asylum and immigration cases in other EU Member States as a way to favour the exchange of best practices and mutual learning. All the project activities are planned to promote to the maximum the networking of the participants in the various events. While the seminars will contain break-out sessions, the short visits will allow participants to spend 3 days together to consolidate their networking. TRALIM 3 is based on physical events, but is flexible enough for the training to be transferred online in case of need. |
