Objectives: TREIO aims to develop and pilot an all-round cross-border training on European Investigation Order (EIO) implementation to foster the use and successful exchange of EIO forms and evidences across EU. It will tailor the content to cross-border specifics (investigative measures, cooperation, procedures, safeguards, data protection compliance) and provide video tutorial on the technical aspects of the EIO implementation and the use of the e-Evidence Exchange Digital System, developed by EC. The training will spread across the 12 MSs adopting the System within the e-CODEX Infrastructure. The TREIO Toolkit and Action Plan for future actions will implement and propose the extension of the training to all EU MSs. Activities: WP1: project management, quality assurance & coordination (6 deliverables) WP2: mapping training needs, defining training methodology and topics of cross-border dimension, designing and validating all-round EIO training, train of trainers (9 deliverables, 1 all-round-training, 6 trainings for 120 trainers) WP3: setting up the TREIO e-learning platform, conducting TREIO online training across EU (4 deliverables, online training in 12 languages, min. 1000 trained professionals) WP4: developing TREIO Training Toolkit & Action Plan for future training on EIO (4 deliverables) WP5: dissemination & awareness (5 deliverables, campaign, 12 open info days, conference) Stakeholders: Magistrates, judicial staff, administrative officials with relevant competences, lawyers Results: Increased awareness on & coherent EIO implementation Enhanced understanding & fostered practical application of the EIO Directive Promoted use of the e-Evidence Exchange Digital System Tailored trainings materials in 12 languages 120 professionals empowered to train & promote EU-wide EIO implementation Online training for min. 1000 professionals in 12 MSs Toolkit and guideline for all-round EIO training adoption Action Plan for future actions on EIO training for all EU MSs
