Description

Description

FEDEC, the international network for professional circus education, connects 86 members based in 33 countries in Europe and beyond. Founded in 1998 at the instigation of the first vocational circus arts schools, FEDEC is committed to foster the development of training, teaching, learning & innovating in the field of circus arts. In 2025, with this commitment as its backbone, TRANCE (TRANsform Circus Education) will focus on improving the communication strategies and tools of circus schools, in order to give greater visibility to the sector but also to raise awareness more effectively of EU policies and the main themes of circus education, such as inclusion, safety, sustainability and mental health issues. More specifically, enhancing the quality of circus education in evolving societies, will be carried out through 4 pillars: - Transforming the network - Inclusive governance for a stronger, caring and safer organisation - Transforming E&T recognition - Advocacy and support to the sector, raising awareness on EU policies - Transforming circus education - Innovative and inclusive learning opportunities for professional development - Transforming the voice - Dissemination and communication strategies FEDEC's ambition is to contribute to the development of the arts education sector at European and international level, to enable it to develop in a caring, supportive, sustainable and inclusive way, with the medium-term aim of better equipping citizens to meet today's challenges.
