Description

Trans-Asia Renewable Energy Corporation, a subsidiary of Trans-Asia Oil and Energy Development Corporation (PSE:TA), was planning the development of the 54MW San Lorenzo Wind Farm, San Lorenzo municipality, Guimaras Province. The project was to consist of 27 turbines of 2.0MW, generating 120,790 MWh annually to be supplied to the Luzon and Visayas Electric Power Grids. The turbines were to be the Gamesa G90 turbines, with a lifespan of 20 years and a capacity factor of 28.4%. Commissioning was expected for Q1 2014. The Feed-in Tariff for the project was 8.53 PHP/kWh ($0.20 per kWh). The first equipment supply contract was to be signed in December 2011. The FiT were for 20 years. the connection to the transmission line was secured in February 2012. The EPC was negotiated in June 2012. Construction was expected to begin in July 2012. Total investment was to be $151,066,875. The project applied for UNFCCC/CDM financing (December 2011).
